The Darien Parks and Recreation Department is seeking focus group participants to assist in evaluating parks and recreation services within the Darien community.
The focus group results will be used by the Department to develop a Park Master Plan for its recreation facilities, programs and services.
Focus groups are taking place on Tuesday March 14 with three 45 minute sessions from 5 to 8 p.m. Space is limited, so please call the Parks & Recreation Office at 203-656-7325 to sign-up for one of the 45 minutes sessions.
Participants needed include residents, partner agency/organization representatives, business community representatives, and users of facilities and services. The focus group participants will be asked to weigh in on the extent to which Darien’s recreation facilities, programs, and services meet the needs of the community.
Participants will also be asked to weigh in on the community’s perception of needs for future facilities, amenities, services, and programs. The town has engaged the services of Weston & Sampson, a multi-disciplinary planning and design firm, and GreenPlay, LLC, a nationally renowned park and recreation consulting firm to help develop the Park Master Plan.
