The Digital Media CT Kickoff is a one-day digital media forum this Friday, June 22, with short presentations and panel discussions featuring representatives from nearby film and television studios and digital media agencies.
The event kicks off Digital Media Connecticut (DMCT), a partnership between the Digital Media & Design Department at UConn Stamford and the Connecticut Office for Film, Television, and Digital Media.
The event is free, but register here.
This new initiative will engage high school students, undergraduates, and alumni interested in film, television, and digital media.
DMCT events provide a network of educators and professionals in the field to support education and training with the goal to connect future professionals to their next step in film, television, and digital media.
The event includes an exciting list of industry professionals from NBC Sports, ESPN, Nick Jr., Scholastic, Octagon, and CPTV,” organizers said in an event posting on Facebook. “The short keynote and panel discussion format will offer an intimate environment for high school and college students as well as recent alumni to seek answers to their most pressing industry and career related questions.”
