Things are heating up at the Darien Nature Center as volunteers and sponsors prepare for Fireside, the organization’s annual fundraising event.

It will be held outside on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. and will feature farm-to-table food catered by The Schoolhouse at Cannondale, signature cocktails, music, and a silent auction full of exciting offerings for all ages.

“Grab a sweater, come as you are, and enjoy the company of your friends and neighbors under the stars. Our goal is to treat everyone to excellent food and fun while celebrating all the Nature Center does for our community,” said event co-chair Meaghan Hetherington.

Fireside is the Nature Center’s largest yearly fundraiser; all proceeds support their programs for all ages focused on nature educations, first-hand experiences in nature, and environmental action and stewardship.

General admission tickets are $125 each and can be purchased online or by calling 203-655-7459.
