Finally — spring is here! Members of the DCA Greenhouse Group are again offering a Free Gardening Workshop on Tuesday, April 19.

Join the group to divide and transplant perennials, plant containers, and prune shrubs on the DCA grounds.

Novice gardeners will be given guidance; experienced gardeners are welcome to just help out.

Participants should wear clothes appropriate to gardening, and bring any hand tools available (trowel, hand shovel, clippers; the group will have extras).

This event is free to all, and children are welcome under supervision. The day begins at 9:30 a.m. (coffee will be available), at 10 a.m. a workshop and afterwards a light lunch of sandwiches will be offered on the patio. All are welcome at any time throughout the morning.

Reservations are requested to ensure there’s plenty of lunch for all. Please either reserve your spot online at dariendca.org, or contact the DCA at 203-655-9050 or info@dariendca.org.

This event will be held outside in the Ellen Biddle Shipman formal garden of the DCA, a popular venue for weddings and outdoor events, located at 274 Middlesex Road, Darien, CT 06820.
