— an announcement from Darien Library
Darien Library’s 1894 Day celebrates of the library’s 131st anniversary. This year the library hopes to raise $131,000, just on this day.
Why Your Support Matters
For over a century, Darien Library has been the heart of our town — fostering learning, creativity, and connection for people of all ages.
1894 Day is a cornerstone of the library’s annual fundraising efforts, and your support is essential in helping us reach our yearly goal.
While the Town of Darien funds salaries and core operations, it’s the Friends of the Library — supporters like you — who make everything else possible: our books and digital collections, public computers and technology, research tools, and the wide range of cultural and educational programming our community counts on.
Your gift powers the Library — and keeps it thriving. To show our appreciation, we’re offering special anniversary gifts at the following contribution levels:
• $100+: Insulated Camp Mug
• $500+: Seaside Rugby Beach Towel
• $1,894+: Boat & Tote Large with Long Handles
• $5,000: Receive all the above.
Please make your gift and join us on May 21 to celebrate how far we’ve come—and help ensure a bright future for Darien Library.
