A discussion on learning disabilities between author and advocate Anne Ford and Michael Alfano, dean of the Sacred Heart University Isabelle Farrington College of Education will take place at Sacred Heart University on Wednesday night.

Anne served as chairman of the board of the National Center for Learning Disabilities from 1989 to 2001 and is the mother of a child with learning disabilities. A Q&A will follow the conversation.

“A Parent’s Experience with Learning Disabilities” will take place at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 24 at the West Campus Third-Floor Midway at Sacred Heart University, 3135 Easton Turnpike

WSHU Public Radio and the Isabelle Farrington College of Education are sponsoring the event.

General admission is $15. Purchase tickets online. Event proceeds will benefit Smart Kids with Learning Disabilities through SHU’s Fund for Social Justice.
