Elizabeth B. “Beeb” Morris, of Lovettsville, Virginia passed away Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023 at the Adler Center Hospice in Aldie, Virginia. She was 84.

Born in Philadelphia in October, 1938, Beeb spent her childhood in Easton, Pennsylvania, and later in Darien. She earned a degree in archeology from Bryn Mawr College, graduating in 1960.
Beeb lived for a while in Hampton, Virginia and Washington, D.C., during the early 1960s. She then spent several years living in Marseilles and Paris, where she and a partner opened the first coin-operated laundromat in the city of Paris.
Returning to the United States in 1968, Beeb married her long-time friend, James Morris in May of1971. For 15 years, the couple lived in Reston, Virginia, where Beeb was active in civic affairs and served on the Board of Directors of Reston Commuter Bus Inc.
In 1986 Beeb and Jim settled near Lovettsville, Virginia, commuting to work in Washington via the MARC commuter train until her retirement in 2001.
Beeb is survived by Jim, her husband of nearly 52 years, and her beloved cat, Peanut.
