Deane George Minahan, 77, died on Aug. 29, 2019, with his family by his side.
Deane Minahan 77, died on Aug. 29. At his request, no service will be held.
Deane was born on Jan. 19, 1942 in in Oswego, New York and grew up in Darien. He attended Colby College in Maine and graduate school at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaigne.
An avid reader, he had a long career teaching English literature at the University of Wisconsin-Superior.
Deane enjoyed good food, traveling, fireworks, and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Kay, his children Kristi (Jim), Robyn, and Mike, grandson Kai, and his two faithful dogs, Zeus and Sadie. He is proceeded in death by his mother and father, Margaret and Wirt Minahan.
Per Deane’s wishes, no services will be held.
