You’re invited to help Darien’s TV79 to broadcast meetings of Town government.
Our programming is “gavel to gavel,” without editing or commentary. Like C-SPAN and CT-N, TV79 runs coverage that is unbiased and unedited.

Don’t know much about running a video camera?
No problem! We’ll train you as a camera operator. No TV experience is required. Volunteers can work as little as once a month or as often as several nights a week — whatever time you can commit.
Want to learn TV production?
We shoot most meetings remote control from our studio. Or we send out a crew with a camcorder and audio gear.
Earn Money While You Learn
TV79 pays camera operators $25 per hour. Meetings are weekday evenings.
Advisory Committee Also Needs Volunteers
We’re looking for seasoned professionals with a knowledge of journalism and broadcasting to advise the volunteer staff of TV79 on its operations.
