Baywater Properties, a full-service real estate investment and development company based in Darien, Connecticut, announced today that Jon Sabrowski has joined Baywater as Director of Leasing and Special Projects.

Sabrowski’s responsibilities will be to enhance Baywater’s leasing, acquisition and development efforts in Fairfield and Westchester County.
“We have worked with Jon for nearly 14 years on a number of different projects, and I am delighted that he has agreed to join us as we take Baywater Properties to the next level in its evolution as a real estate investment and development company”, said David Genovese, CEO of Baywater Properties.
Genovese added that “Jon’s significant and deep understanding of the retail and office markets and his track record in leasing high quality properties throughout Fairfield County will be of enormous value to our efforts in Darien and throughout the region”.
Baywater has developed several commercial buildings in Connecticut since 2003, including 195 Danbury Road in Wilton, 1020 Boston Post Road in Darien, 17 Old Kings Highway South in Darien, and 745 Boston Post Road in Darien.
Baywater has also been an active acquirer of distressed office buildings throughout the region, including 450 Post Road East in Westport, 411 Theodore Fremd Avenue in Rye, 2777 Summer Street in Stamford, as well as 285 Riverside Avenue and 355 Riverside Avenue in Westport.
In late July of this year, Baywater initiated a discussion with Darien’s Planning & Zoning Commission regarding a significant mixed-used project the company has been working on since 2003 which would include dozens of condominiums, retail stores and office spaces located between Whole Foods Market and Darien’s Metro North Train Station.
Sabrowski was most recently Leasing Director for Building and Land Technology, a privately held real estate development, property management and private equity firm based in Stamford, CT.
Among his responsibilities was the office and retail leasing for Harbor Point, one of the largest redevelopments on the East Coast with more than 4,000 residential units and several million square feet of commercial development, including 14 new restaurants within the market.
Prior to that he was a founding partner and Principal of RHYS Commercial Real Estate, Stamford, CT and Senior Managing Director in the Stamford, Connecticut office of GVA Williams (now Colliers) with a core focus on Investment Sales.
Mr. Sabrowski resides in Fairfield, CT with his wife and three sons and was a three-time ACC champion as a member of the University of Maryland football team.
