Museums matter — museums are a source of education, emotion and creative inspiration. Now in its 20th year, this distinctive program offers Bank of America and Merrill Lynch credit and debit card holders the opportunity to visit more than 175 of the most popular cultural institutions in the United States free of charge on the first full weekend of every month.

Present your active Bank of America or Merrill Lynch credit or debit card along with a photo ID to gain one free general admission to the Bruce Museum this Saturday and Sunday.

Your card gets you one free general admission to any participating institution —  cardholders only; guests are not eligible for free admission. Excludes special exhibitions, ticketed shows and fundraising events.

Events for kids at the Bruce this Sunday

Take a family tour of the museum for free from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.: “Designed for families with children ages 6-10. These tours, led by a Museum educator,  provide an interactive, discussion-based exploration of the Museum’s current exhibitons. Free with admission; no registration required.”

Science Sunday: Crystallized Colors: 1 to 3 p.m.: A drop-in program designed for children aged 4 and up and their families. Participants will explore simple science concepts and subjects while partaking in fun, kid-friendly experiments, projects and crafts inspired by the Museum’s collections and exhibitions. This program is free with general admission and no advance registration is required. Join us for as we experiment with salt and watercolor to create beautiful, crystalized paintings.
