A resident of Maple Street between Relihan Road and Noroton Avenue found a side window of a detached shed open on Friday morning, then found that a leaf blower and weed-wacker were missing, police said.
According to police:
At about 10 a.m., that day, June 29, the resident left home, returning at 11:30 a.m., only to notice the side window of the shed open.
An Echo brand backpack leaf blower valued at $329 was missing, as was a Ryobi brand weed-wacker, valued at $129 (total value of those two items: $458).
Police went to neighbors to see if they knew of anything suspicious, but none said they had.
