Original artwork by local artist Peter Saverine is on display this month at Darien Donut, 370 Heights Road, across from the Noroton Heights railroad station.
The collection of over two dozen acrylic-on-canvas pieces depicting seascapes, sailboats, beaches, and studies of waves, scallops, and mussels is available for immediate purchase.
Peter Saverine, a Darien native and graduate of Darien High School, has pledged to donate 20 percent of all sales to benefit the Darien Blue Wave Booster Club.
“I am thankful for the opportunity to share my artwork to benefit the community,” Saverine said. “Local merchants, like Bill Tamme at Darien Donut, who welcome local artists to display in their venues make these small gestures possible.”
The Blue Wave Booster Club was formed in 2006 to:
- Support the athletic programs at Darien High School for the physical development and betterment of its students.
- To foster sportsmanship and school spirit among students, parents, teachers, and staff.
- To develop an interest in and awareness of the athletics at DHS within the town community
