The Darien Department of Public Works released its annual list of roads to be paved, according to a schedule running from Thursday, April 6 through April 27.
“Please avoid these roads if possible during these times or use extra caution if you must travel on these roads,” an announcement from the department said. “Emergency access will be available at all times. Town of Darien police officers will be present to direct traffic and assist area residents during construction.”
The schedule is based on favorable weather conditions and could change, and on-street parking will, of course be suspended when a road is being paved.
“Driveway access will be limited during paving operations, however, no single driveway should be closed for more than an hour.
Expect minor traffic delays. Please plan your travels accordingly.”
For more information, you can call the town Department of Public Works at 656-7346.
Preparatory work will precede paving on all of the above roads. Dates listed above include milling and paving. Road surfaces will have raised structures during these dates. There may be inactivity on some roads between milling and paving.
