To the editor,
The Town of Darien is at a turning point. On Election Day Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019, Darien residents will have the chance to be heard and elect the leaders who will make the decisions that will define our town for decades.
This is why it is vital to elect leaders who will be deliberative and collaborative in their decision making, transparent in their process and include valuable public input as they guide our town. That’s why we are running to serve Darien.
We are pleased to announce to our Darien neighbors that our Leadership in Action 2019 website is live. Please visit us at LeadershipInAction2019.com to learn how to join our team and share your thoughts, see our schedule of events and learn more about how together we can put leadership in action for all of Darien.
— Sarah Neumann, David Martin, Tara Ochman & Dan Bumgardner
Editor’s note: Neumann, Martin, Ochman and Bumgardner are all Democratic candidates for local offices. Neumann and Martin are running for the two open seats on the Board of Selectmen; Ochman is running for re-election to the Board of Education, which she chairs; Bumgardner is running for a seat on the Board of Finance. State law guarantees seats for non-majority-party candidates for these positions.
