The Rowayton Arts Center (RAC) will host a creative writing workshop in which participants take in the artwork in the current RAC exhibition, “Autumn Juried Show” for inspiration in writing a poem.

Norwalk’s Poet Laureate Bill Hayden will lead participants in an “Ekphrastic Poetry Experience” (poetry written about works of art) at the workshop on Monday, Oct. 28 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Writers of all levels will be given time to preview the artwork in the gallery before choosing of one or more pieces to focus on to create poetry. Afterwards, the group will gather to share and discuss the drafts. Anyone wanting to further edit their works is encouraged to contact Hayden for help.
