Vehicles continue to be left unlocked overnight and people continue to scrounge around in them overnight, looking for something to steal.

The latest incidents — at least the ones police know about — happened outside of four homes within a mile of each other in Noroton Heights sometime overnight from Wednesday to Thursday, Jan. 15 to 16.

A Nissan sedan parked outside a home at 214 West Ave. was entered. About $10 in loose change was taken from the car — the only reported items missing from any of the car entries.

About two blocks away, outside of 24 West Elm St., a Jeep Cherokee was entered.

A few blocks from that incident, outside of 49 Hilton St., a different Jeep Cherokee and a Toyota Highlander were entered.

Around the corner from Hilton Street, at 287 West Ave., a Subaru Ascent was entered.
