Don’t Want Those Phone Books? How to Get on the Opt-out List

You can get on a no-Yellow-Pages-phone-book list and not receive those bags of phone books each year by opting out following the button on this page or by going to the Yellow Pages website. Here’s a letter (posted on the town government website) to First Selectman Jayme Stevenson from YP (Yellow Pages) about the phone book distribution in town (it was scheduled to start about Sept. 21) that mentions the opt-out list:
Notification: Distribution of YPSM Fairfield County YP Directory
Dear City Manager/Mayor:
This provides you with information regarding our distribution of the YPSM Fairfield County YP directory. As you may be aware, the directories are 100 percent recyclable. While new directories are being delivered, this is typically a time when residents recycle their outdated phone books; therefore, you may see an increase in phone books in the community’s curbside recycling and drop-off recycling containers.
