Ability Beyond, Catholic Charities & Mental Health Connecticut are sponsoring the presentation of a documentary, “Suicide: The Ripple Effect,” highlighting the devastating impact of suicide on family and friends. Following the screening, representatives from all three organizations will be on hand to speak with any individuals looking for assistance and to provide information. The film chronicles the story of Kevin Hines, who at age 19 attempted to take his own life. He shines light on inspirational individuals, families, and organizations that are using personal pain to help others find the hope they need to heal. The event starts at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct.
