Handbag Missing After Owner Leaves It Outside With $800 in It

A Waterbury woman visiting friends on Allen O’Neill Drive in Darien forgot her handbag on the ground outside of her vehicle when she drove off to visit the Stamford Town Center mall. Now the handbag is gone. The woman realized that she didn’t have the bag and returned, but by then it was too late. The Burberry bag, which went missing on Monday morning, July 23, was valued at $500 and inside it was $800 in cash, an iPhone 5 of unknown value, and various credit cards, she told police.
