Art by Jeanne Steers, known for her colorful acrylic paintings on shaped hardwood, will be on display throughout July at the Gratia Gillespie Art Gallery at Atria Darien, with an artist’s reception on July 12. Steers style has evolved to use the shape as a starting point for the dialogue between painting and viewer. Shapes also provide a unique framework for the art.
