Pauline “Polly” Speights Tuck died peacefully on Jan. 28. She was 91. A Richmond, Virginia native, Polly was married for 60 years to her high school sweetheart, Franklin D. Tuck, who passed away in 2013. She raised her family in Richmond, Berwyn, Pennsylvania and her beloved Noroton Bay in Darien.

Annino “Nino” Antonelli of Stamford passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, Feb. 3, 2023. He was 70. Nino was born on Oct. 6, 1952, in his beloved home of Settefrati, Italy to the late Loreto and Marianna Pompa Antonelli.

Patricia Phelps Lyman, a resident of Darien for 93 years, passed away peacefully at home on Jan. 15, 2023. Pat was the daughter of Gladys and Norman Lyman, and the granddaughter of Thomas J. and May W. McCarty. Her grandfather was a vice president and board member of the Tokeneke Club in 1928, and could trace his American ancestry back to 1740. Pat attended Hindley School, and Darien High School, which was located in the current Town Hall.

Nancy “Muffin” (Hergert) Hurd, a loving mother, passed away unexpectedly, on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2023, at Compass on the Bay Memory Care in South Boston. She was 74. Nancy lived a life complicated by her ongoing struggle with bipolar disorder and, in the last 10 years, dementia. When feeling well, she was the kindest human alive, who loved to help people.

David Ogden Tharp passed away on unexpectedly on Dec. 26, 2022, at his home in Willington, 2022. He was 56. Dave was a father, a husband, a son, a brother; and for many years a soldier, security professional, and diplomat serving his country in Central America, the Middle East, and Afghanistan. Dave grew up in Darien where he graduated high school in 1984.

Patrick “Pat” Michael Linskey passed away on January 21, 2023, at the age of 86. He was the quintessential Irishman, born on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 1936, in Chicago, Illinois, to Edward and Margaret Hughes Linskey. He attended Niles Township High School in Skokie, Illinois, and later graduated from Quincy University in Quincy, Illinois. Pat thrived in the golden age of advertising and print media as sales manager for McCall’s Magazine, advertising director for American Home Magazine, president & publisher of Family Weekly Magazine, and publisher of USA Weekend newspaper magazine (CBS Publishing).
