Hello, book lovers! We’re celebrating you on Tuesday, June 19th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at our annual Book Readers Festival. We’ll share our favorite books and help you select something new to try. Bring the kids along for we’ll have prizes, fun activities, and ice cream for everyone.

Darien Library CLOSED — ‘Scenes from the Silver Screen’ Gala Fundraiser Saturday Night

Darien Library is rolling the red carpet to make you feel like a star Saturday, June 9 at this year’s spring fundraiser for the library, “Scenes from the Silver Screen Gala.” The event starts at 7 p.m., and the library will be closed all day on Saturday as the staff prepares. You can step behind the velvet rope, pose for a photo, enjoy paparazzi-worthy hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, and live entertainment while supporting your hometown library’s resources and programs.

Red carpet attire is completely optional. By attending the “Scenes from the Silver Screen Gala,” you’ll be mingling with your friends and neighbors, and bringing new resources and speakers to the Library. All funds raised from the event will be dedicated to expanding library resources, including purchasing new books, technology, and supporting programs and guest speakers.
