The League of Women Voters of Darien will hold its annual Candidates’ Night on Thursday, Oct. 8 starting at 7:20 p.m. The Board of Education candidates will be featured. — an announcement from the Darien League of Women Voters

Because of COVID restrictions, in- person attendance will be limited to the Candidates and essential volunteers. Darien TV79 will cover the event live. The following candidates have agreed to attend: Michael Burke (D); David (Duke) Dineen (R); Dennis Maroney (R); and Sara Parent (D).

Many of you know me for my decades working in the Darien schools. Schools are strongest when everyone works together. As a current Board member, Mike Burke provides historic board and parental perspectives. Darien needs Mike for his continued steady and wise council. As a parent, former president of the CDSP and Chair of the Holmes School PTO, Sara Parent has been actively engaged in the Board of Education for years.
