Police: Mother Tells Estranged Father He Can’t Stay, But He Finds a Way — Until the Cops Arrive

A 27-year-old man was allowed to stay with the mother of his two children on Allen O’Neill Drive, but when he was told to leave, he managed to find his way back into the home, and then called police to protect him from being evicted “without due process,” he said, according to the police account. Police had a different idea about how due process would work in this situation. Darien police described what happened with this account, including accusations not proven in court:
The man, Khalile Thomas of Alpharetta, GA, told police that the mother of his children let him stay there for a couple of months. The woman told police that she had agreed to let him stay for a couple of weeks, and he’d been there a month. In fact, she said, Thomas was told to leave after the first week because the two constantly argued.
