This year marks the 5th annual “Home for the Holidays” event to benefit Darien EMS-Post 53. Nielsen’s Florist will host the event from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10, in their conservatory at 1405 Post Rd, Darien.
This unique event is a chance for Darien EMS- Post 53 to mix and mingle with the community that they are trained to serve, while attendees can enjoy an atmosphere of holiday cheer and glorious abundance.
It is a pre-season cocktail party, showcasing gorgeous holiday table arrangements and introducing Nielsen’s 2016 Christmas collection. All are welcome! Whether you would like to start an ornament collection, view the vignettes or just come to support Post 53, guests are sure to enjoy the festivities and delicious hors d’oeuvres.
Sandy Nielsen, General Manager of Nielsen’s had this to say: “We love to kick off the holiday season by hosting this event and working closely with Post 53 to raise as much money as possible”.
Nancy Herling, who recently became Director of Darien EMS-Post 53 is hoping the event will raise awareness and needed funds for the organization. “This event is a fun way to start your holiday shopping and support an organization that is here for them, in the background all year long.”
Tickets are $15 if you buy them pre-event from a Post 53 member or get yours early at Nielsen’s Florist. Ticket proceeds and 10% of the evening’s sales will benefit Darien EMS-Post 53. Please call 203-655-2541 for more information.
