When she saw a flower pot near a window moved and the trim around the window damaged in a minor way, a Maple Street resident concluded that someone tried to get into her home and told police about it.
The attempted burglary would have been sometime between 3 and 11 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21, the woman told police the next day. She said she also noticed that the window was closed after she had left it open.
Police noted that a computer was in clear view of the window, but it hadn’t been disturbed. When police asked neighbors whether or not they’d seen, heard or knew of anything suspicious, none said they had. Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
