Parenting with Intention: For Parents of Little Kids: 4th to 7th Grade

All About Me: Writing Autobiographical Poems
Saturday, April 26, 2 p.m.
You will write a poem about the subject you know best, YOU. Even if you’ve never written a poem before, you’ll be a poet by the end of this class! Don’t miss out on this poetry workshop in celebration of National Poetry Month, taught by local author and teacher Valerie Bolling.
Families with children in Grade 2 and up. Please register each family member (including adults) who will be attending this workshop.

Little Artists: Spring Painting

Become an artist by doing this hands-on project with Miss Maria! Join us at the Library while you are guided in creating a piece of art. Caregivers may need to provide some hands-on assistance with their child’s projects. Caregivers, please only register for one Little Artists class per day, select the 1:30 p.m. or the 4:15 p.m. session.

Participants will make a tasty treat in this engaging class. All snack ingredients will be nut-free but they may contain dairy.

In this two hour class, participants will be making two baking recipes including Strawberry Twists and Chocolate Doughnuts. Recipe is nut free but will contain eggs and dairy.

Reduce, Reuse, Recraft: Pasta Gardens
Wednesday, April 16th, 4:15 p.m.
Join us for our April programming series, “Reduce, Reuse, Recraft,” as we focus on using the supplies that we already have in celebration of Earth Day. Art is full of pasta-bilities! In this fun class, we will be making a colorful bouquet of spring flowers using dyed pasta, glue, and yarn.

Thursday, April 24th, 1:30 p.m.
Using broken up pieces of sidewalk chalk, preschoolers can draw their own chalk paintings.

Get creative during National Poetry Month as you combine art and words in a mixed-media poetic collage while using a plethora of art supplies from watercolors to glitter glue.
