A 37-year-old Bronx woman was one of two thieves who stole $2,900 worth of expensive hair-care merchandise at Darien CVS, according to Darien police, who arrested her on a warrant on Jan. 17.
Police gave this account of the matter, including accusations not proven in court:
Surveillance video of the store at 964 Post Road showed two suspects, including the woman, Nicole Rivera, fill bags with the merchandise and leave without paying. The theft occurred on March 15, 2024.

Nicole Rivera, 37, charged with larceny in the theft of $2,900 worth of merchandise from CVS in Darien.
The pair, believed to be part of an organized retail theft group, are accused by other police departments of stealing from CVS stores in Connecticut and New York.
Police investigations connected the male suspect and Rivera to thefts in multiple places, including two the same day in Greenwich, where stolen goods and evidence of resale operations were uncovered last August after police arrested Rivera, Anthony Jimenez, then 45, and Frederick Quintana, then 60, all Bronx residents.
Darien police applied for an arrest warrant for Rivera, which was granted by a judge in Stamford Superior Court. She is charged with third-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny and participating in organized retail theft of less than $10,000.
On Jan. 17, 2025, Darien detectives went to the York Correctional Institution, a prison in Niantic, to take Rivera into custody. She was able to post her $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear Feb. 11 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
