Pearl Falcioni was a long-time resident of Darien. She passed away peacefully on Monday, Dec. 21, surrounded by loving family.

Pearl Falcioni (1921-2015)

She was born on March 6, 1921 in North Stonington. She was the daughter of the late John Christie and Iva Estelle Tillinghast Christie. Pearl graduated from North Stonington High School.

She was predeceased by her devoted and loving husband, A. Vincent Falcioni and loving son Vincent A. Falcioni.

She is survived by her son, Ronald John Falcioni and his wife Dana Robinson Falcioni of Darien and her grandson R. J. Falcioni of San Francisco, CA

She is also survived by her daughter, Mary Louise, her husband William R. Zarrilli and her grandson Jeffrey Zarrilli all of Darien; her granddaughter Michelle Zarrilli of Alexandria, VA; and grandson Michael Zarrilli, his wife Jennifer and great grandson Mason of Wallingford, CT.

Pearl enjoyed working at Bloomingdale’s in Stamford for 19 years in both the Dress and Junior departments. She had a knack for putting outfits together and she liked to do the same for others. She was a beautiful lady and a very classy dresser!

Upon retiring Pearl loved volunteering at the Stamford Hospital Gift Shop and up until recently the Darien Thrift Shop.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great grandmother. Pearl was full of life and had many friends. What she most enjoyed was spending time with her family and friends. She had an active social life and enjoyed the Darien YMCA, The Darien Senior Center, St. Thomas More Senior Group and At Home in Darien.

Pearl was known for her great sense of humor and a quick wit. Pearl relished and had a passion for everything about the outdoors. She enjoyed going to the beach, was an avid gardener, birder, reader and a huge fan of the New York Yankees.

A Mass of Christian Burial for friends and family will be held at St Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, 374 Middlesex Road, Darien on Monday, Dec. 28 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery, Darien.
