The Center for HOPE will welcome renowned journalist and best-selling author Maria Shriver to the podium as the keynote speaker for its 2018 Annual Luncheon on Thursday, March 1.  The event will be held at noon at the Country Club of Darien.

As a prominent woman juggling many roles, Ms. Shriver knows just how surprising, unpredictable and stressful everyday life can be. In her new book, I’ve Been Thinking… the bestselling author, Emmy and Peabody Award-winning journalist and mother of four shares her reflections for those seeking wisdom, guidance, encouragement and inspiration on the road to a meaningful life.

In the book, Ms. Shriver shares tales from her own life, including the guidance her mother gave her, how it felt to send her youngest off to college and what she has learned about handling the curveballs that life throws your way.

All proceeds from the 2018 Center for HOPE Luncheon will benefit the Center for HOPE and The Den for Grieving Kids, Family Centers’ programs offering counseling and support to residents of lower Fairfield County coping with a loss, a critical illness or life-altering circumstance.

Tickets start at $125. Several exciting sponsorship opportunities – which include a semi-private reception with Ms. Shriver – are also available.  All attendees will also receive a copy of I’ve Been Thinking…
