Margaret “Peggy” Nadriczny (Burns), 92 ,of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 6.

Margaret “Peggy” Nadriczny, 92, passed away on Sunday, July 6. Her wake and funeral will be held on Thursday, July 10.
Born in Stamford on June 23, 1933, Peggy was the only child of Edward and Mary Margaret Burns, also from Stamford.
On Nov. 7, 1953, she married Joseph “Joe” Wasyl Nadriczny, and together they shared 40 years until his passing. They raised a family in Darien. Family and friends meant everything to Peggy and Joe. They enjoyed watching their children play baseball, soccer, and lacrosse, and opening their home for gatherings. They were active members of St. John’s Church in Darien.
Peggy was a banker, working for Union Trust in Darien. She worked in several branches, as well as operations. She enjoyed her work and made many dear friends along the way. Once retired, Peggy cared for several of her grandchildren.
Peggy is survived by her son Edward J. Nadriczny; daughter-in-law, Karin A. Nadriczny; and granddaughter, Krista A. Nadriczny, all from Monroe; son Brian J. Nadriczny; daughter-in-law, Marianne E. Nadriczny; granddaughter, Laura A. Purhoit (Vinay) and grandson, Hunter J. Nadriczny (Martha) from Newtown and Southbury; and her daughter, Kimberly A. Nguyen; son-in-law, Khanh B. Nguyen; granddaughter, Kaitlyn M. Nguyen; and grandson, Conner J. Nguyen; all from New Fairfield. She is also blessed to have two great-granddaughters, Maya Rose and Lilianna Maeve.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, July 10, 2025 at St. John’s Church in Darien. Burial will follow at St John’s Cemetery in Norwalk. Friends are invited to greet the family on Thursday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., Thursday at Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Peggy’s honor to a charity of choice.
