She spent her final days surrounded by her loving husband, daughters, son-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers, and extended family, whom she loved more than anything in the world.
Mickey lived a good life. While looking back on her life, Mickey recently said, “We were lucky. We had a different life, but we were lucky.”
She was born in Stamford on May 19, 1925. She treasured her family, weekly dinners, summer gatherings by the pool, and vacationing in Puerto Rico. “I’m glad I got that pool. I’m glad it kept you all here. Look at how lucky I am to have all of you. Not just good kids, but good grandkids. Look at all of you here.”
She also had a love for her weekly shopping trips and finding a good deal. Madeline worked for several companies in Stamford and Norwalk throughout her lifetime, and eventually retired from Datacom Management Sciences in Norwalk.
She was predeceased by her parents, Aniello and Philomena Albero; her daughter, Barbara Manjuck; son-in-law, Anthony Conetta; brother, John Albero (and his wife Viola); and in-laws: Seferino and Antonia Robles, Evelio Robles, and Hector Guzman. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Jose Robles Roman; her loyal and devoted daughters, Jackie Conetta and Jo-Ann Sawitsky (and her husband Michael) of Darien; her loving grandchildren, William Manjuck III, Melissa Piney (Edward), Michele Gruner (John), Ray Conetta (Alec), Toni-Ann Rongoe (Nick), Michael Sawitsky, and Morgan Sawitsky; seven great-grandchildren; her brothers: Anthony Albero, Thomas Albero, and Frank Albero (and his wife Marie); her in-laws: Aida I. Guzman, Milta F. Guzman (James), Dalila Robles (Jose), Hilton Robles (Norma), Gabriel Robles (Ana); and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Mickey was the matriarch of the family, always ready for a party and chatting up everyone she came in contact with. Please join us in celebrating her amazing life.
