Jacqueline N. Schneider passed with peace and grace on Saturday, July 16, 2016 with her family by her side.
Jacqui was born in Philadelphia, Pa., attended Pennsylvania University for undergraduate and graduate studies she was valedictorian of her class.
Her life as a school psychologist served many children and families over the years. She worked for New York City Schools and the Darien schools during her long career as a psychologist.
Volunteerism was one of her many community commitments. Jacqui worked with the Fairfield County Nature Center, Weston Historical Society and of course in the Meadow Ridge Residential Living Center, where she resided at the end of her life.

She enjoyed many of the activities offered at the center and through these experiences Jacqui made many friendships. She was loving, kind and always made time for others.
She was predeceased by her loving husband E. Lee Schneider, and survived by Derek Allen, her son, his wife Diane Orado; her granddaughters, Emma and Tessa Allen; her stepson, Tom Schneider, his wife Leanne, and their children Whitney and Leighton.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, July 22, 2016 at St. Timothy’s Church, 4670 Congress St., Fairfield.
The family wishes to thank the Healthcare staff at Meadow Ridge, Dr. Lynne Savino and the Connecticut Regional Hospice staff for their loving care for Jacqui. Jacqui will reside in our memories and hearts and we are better people for knowing her.
