If you get your recycling picked up by a hauler, it only costs $40 for as many as two permit stickers for your cars allowing you to visit the Darien Transfer Station/Recycling Center, where you can recycle a lot more than at curbside, according to the Darien Reycling Center.

One New Year’s Resolution that is easy to keep is to recycle more! If you use a local carter to haul away trash and single stream, know that there is much more that can be recycled at the Darien Recycling Center: motor oil, scrap metal, tires, oversized plastics, electronics, textiles, paint, batteries, lightbulbs and yard waste.
