The Connecticut Fair Housing Center and the state Department of Housing invite you to a forum from 1 to 3 p.m., Friday, Dec. 7 at Darien Library to learn about the findings of a new study on state-funded housing complexes.

These buildings provide housing to both elderly tenants and younger tenants with disabilities.

The presentation will separate myth from reality, identify best practices for handling areas of conflict, and discuss recommendations to ensure that state-funded elderly/disabled housing is available to all those who need it.

For more information visit the CT Fair Housing website or call 860-263-0730.

— above is the announcement from Darien Library. Below is a post from the Connecticut Fair Housing Center blog:

In 2017, the state Legislature requested a study of state-funded housing complexes that provide housing to both elderly tenants and younger tenants with disabilities.

The Center is partnering with the Connecticut Department of Housing to host three community forums around the state to present the findings of this study, separate myth from reality, identify best practices for handling areas of conflict, and discuss recommendations to ensure that state-funded elderly/disabled housing is available to all those who need it.
