The Darien Department of Human Services is holding a Thanksgiving Grocery Store Gift Card Drive.

— an announcement from Darien Department of Human Services

Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, food insecurity has become more and more prevalent in our area. With food prices increasing, it is getting difficult for some of our neighbors to put food on the table.

Grocery gift cards the Darien Human Services Department is hoping to get.

The food drive takes place from Monday, Nov. 1, through Tuesday, Nov. 23.

The department will be collecting gift cards to local grocery stores (Stop & Shop, Palmer’s, ShopRite, Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods) and distributing them to Darien families and seniors in need.

With your support, we can help make the holidays a little happier for those who need it most.
