Florence Genovese obituary

Florence Genovese, 82, passed away on Feb. 19. Her wake will be today, Thursday, Feb. 22. and her funeral on Friday, Feb. 23.

She was born in Darien on April 6, 1935 to the late James and Cecelia Langford Tiano.

Florence was married for 49 years to her high school sweetheart, Rocky. Florence was a loving mother and especially loved to take care of her grandchildren.

She cherished her time spent with her family, most of all and loved to laugh and sing. She also enjoyed playing cards, dominos and trips to the casino with her sisters.

She was a wonderful cook and we will continue the tradition of making her famous “No Name” cake and mashed potatoes for our family gatherings.
