A workshop where children PreK through age 5 make snowman luminaries takes place Thursday afternoon, from 4:30 to 5:45 p.m., and the event includes a meal for kids.

The class is part of a new winter series of workshops for kids PreK through age 5 at Naya Middle Eastern Counter & Grill, in collaboration with Darien Arts Center, called Kids Create Art & Eat Naya.

In this class, children craft mason jars with white tissue and unique snowman faces and ear warmers. When complete, a battery tea-light is dropped inside and glows.

If You’re Going …

Each class in the series costs $35. You can register here.

This and other classes in the series are held at Naya at Darien Commons, 146 Heights Road.

Each child must be accompanied by an adult.

More About the Series

These workshops will provide an avenue for creative exploration alongside authentic family-approved cuisine. Led by Darien arts instructors, each workshop encourages young minds to explore their creativity and takes place at Naya in Darien Commons, 146 Heights Road.

Following each session, participants will be invited to enjoy Naya’s “Little Habibi” kids meal, featuring a base (rice or salad), a protein choice (Chicken Shawarma, Chicken Shish Taouk, Beef Shawarma, Kafta Lamb Kebab, Cauliflower, or Falafel), up to five toppings, and a choice of milk or juice. Each Kids Meal includes a complimentary coloring book and colored pencils.

The next and final class in the series, Flowerpot Painting, takes place  Thursday, March 28, 4:30 to 5:45 p.m. Children decorate two ceramic pots filled with beautiful succulents to take home. We will have paint and plenty of decorations to make each pot colorful and special.
