Nearly 320,000 works of art and writing were submitted by students in grades 7-12 this year.
This national medal places Han within the top 1 percent of all submissions. She has been invited to attend a ceremony at Carnegie Hall on Thursday, June 2.
This is the second time a Darien student has been recognized at this level. Han made this piece in Teacher Dorine Bosler’s Ceramics 1 class at Darien High School.
