Not only is Darien YMCA setting up interview times for Saturday, Aug. 14 for those who want to become life guards and swim instructors — the Y is also offering 50% reimbursement for the cost of getting certified.

If you’re not certified, you can enroll in one of the Darien YMCA certification courses now.
For a limited time, the Darien YMCA will reimburse up to 50% of the total amount you paid for the lifeguard course after completing six months of employment at the Darien YMCA.
The Y’s offer only applies to lifeguard certifications taken through the Darien YMCA and applications received between Aug. 10, 2021 and Sept. 10, 2021.
