How big is the Chelsea Piers CT building? Well, there’s an entire soccer field (with room to spare for basketball courts) in just one of the giant shed-like structures with blue and white checkerboard walls on the top floor of the building. The other one holds a long row of tennis courts. Right behind Chelsea Piers, the building with the tan/gray roof is the headquarters of NBC Sports.

This is the inside of one of the shed-like blue-white checkerboard parts of the building seen in the aerial picture, above. The picture shows just a fraction of the indoor space on the top floor. The 100-yard indoor turf field is in a climate-controlled environment. Chelsea Piers can host soccer, lacrosse, football, ultimate frisbee, and more.

Sponsored by NBC Sports and Hospital for Special Surgery, attendees will have the opportunity to engage with industry-leading professionals, discover the latest trends in health and wellness, and explore a variety of health-conscious products and services under one roof.

During the expo, there will be a selection of workshops from health and wellness experts, interactive exhibits from a diverse assortment of vendors, fitness demonstrations, and activities offered by Chelsea Piers. Half-hour classes include yoga nidra, pilates, “Ninja Drop In” and cardio dance.

“We hope that attendees who visit our expo will walk away not only with physical products, but also with increased knowledge, tools, and inspiration needed to make positive life changes,” said Greta Wagner, executive director of Chelsea Piers Connecticut.

Classes and freebies are among the offerings at the HALO Expo.

The HALO Expo will be free to the public and Chelsea Piers hopes to attract visitors from all over Fairfield and Westchester counties and the surrounding region.

“Chelsea Piers is already a hub of health and wellness,” Wagner said. “With HALO, we want to invite our community in for a unique event that will inspire, educate and motivate individuals to look for new opportunities to improve their health and well-being.”

Chelsea Piers Connecticut opened its doors in 2012. The club offers a wide variety of sports, activities, and events for people of all ages, in addition to a 65,000-square-foot luxury adult Fitness Club.
