Volunteers are collecting $15 sponsorships at Goodwives Stop and Shop for the next two Saturdays to buy wreaths for veterans graves during the Christmas Season.

This announcement from Darien members of Wreaths Across America has the details:

Sponsorships will be collected from 9 a.m. to 12 noon again at the Stop and Shop supermarket at Goodwives Shopping Center, 25 Old Kings Hwy. N., this Saturday, Oct. 29 and the next Saturday, Nov. 5. Wreath sponsorships at $15 per wreath go towards the placement of wreaths at Darien’s Spring Grove Veterans Cemetery.

The public is invited to attend to help with the Wreath Laying Ceremony, which will take place there at noon on Dec. 17, 2016.

Wreaths can be ordered online at the Wreaths Across America website. Online orders are required to have the codes CTSGVD and CT0007 designation for Spring Grove Cemetery so that wreaths get to the Darien location.
