Addley will leave his post as superintendent of Darien Public Schools at the end of June.
Finally, the board extends its sincere gratitude to Addley for his six years of dedicated service to the district.
Addley’s tenure began just six months before the onset of COVID and included championing the construction of the new Ox Ridge Elementary school; launching the renovations of Hindley, Holmes and Royle Elementary schools; and marshaling the district through the difficult but necessary change in kindergarten through Grade 3 literacy instruction.
“We thank Addley for his leadership and deep care for students throughout his time in Darien,” the board’s announcement said.
“He will continue to serve as superintendent until June 30, working closely with Byrne to ensure a smooth and seamless transition of leadership.”
