You can buy a town beach permit online or at Town Hall, and use last year’s permit until May 31 (Weed Beach is open with security guards; Pear Tree Point Beach gets security guards soon).

Beach Permits Now on Sale
The Darien Parks and Recreation Department is currently selling 2019 park permits and boat launch stickers. These permit stickers allow entrance into Weed and Pear Tree Point Beaches and are available to Darien residents and taxpayers.

Weed Beach
Stickers may be purchased online or at the Darien Town Hall, Room 110. Your 2018 permits are valid through Friday, May 31, 2019.
Beach security guards are already on duty at Weed Beach and will start on Friday, May 24 at Pear Tree Point Beach.
A valid permit is required for entrance to the beaches starting on these dates. For more information, please call Parks and Recreation at 203-656-7325.
Spring and Summer Programs for 2019
Family Programs: Safe Boating Classes
Boat Safe Connecticut LLC comes to Darien to offer this eight-hour course that will meet the requirements to obtain a Connecticut Safe Boating Certificate and Personal Watercraft Operations.
We will be offering two classes in June. The first will meet on Tuesday, June 4 and Thursday, June 6 from 6 to 10 p.m. at Darien Town Hall.
Participants must attend both dates and all hours to be considered for certification. The second class will be held at the Weed Beach paddle tennis building on Saturday, June 22nd from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The fee for this program is $90 for Darien residents; $108 for non-residents. Pre-registration is required.
