Barkurios Buissereth, 64, passed away on March 12. His funeral will be held on March 22.
Barkurios, also known as Marcus by loved ones and friends, was born on April 16, 1960 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti to parents Idomenee Medy and Paulette Buissereth.
Marcus enjoyed being busy and held his own business tending to the Stamford, Darien, New Canaan and Greenwich community by applying his expertise in heating, plumbing and electrical work. He worked for Associated Waters Industry Inc. for 27 years where he perfected his craft in plumbing and heating and gained life long friendships.
He was a dedicated member of Stamford Baptist Church for 25-plus years sharing his technical skills on numerous projects. His contributions toward the electrical wiring throughout the chapel, fellowship hall and the parking lot, stand as a true testament to his dedication.
He loved getting up early to have his morning prayer with the Lord and to watch the news with his wife over a hot cup of coffee. He enjoyed playing and watching soccer and football with his family where he loved seeing his wife and kids together on the couch. Marcus’s cheerful demeanor, servant’s heart and deep love for his family will be dearly missed as we find comfort that he is now at peace with our heavenly Father and Lord, Jesus Christ.
Marcus is survived by his wife, Michelle Buissereth; his three children: Moses Ted Buissereth, Joshua Marcus Buissereth, and his wife Lynsee Renee Buissereth, Ruth Alexandra Caceres and husband, Daniel Benjamin Caceres; his granddaughter, LilyAnn Ruth Buisseret; and expecting granddaughter, Alison Michelle Buissereth. Marcus is also survived by his seven siblings: Gabrielle Buissereth, the late Luna Buissereth, Urielle Buissereth, Otto Buissereth, Mussolini Buissereth, Goldsmith Buissereth and Jean Ductan.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., March 22, 2025, at Stamford Baptist Church, 602 High Ridge Road, Stamford.
