Asa Bisset, 73, passed away on May 28. Her funeral will be held later, this summer.

She was born in Sweden to Axel and Signe Björkdahl. Asa was raised with her sisters Sylvia, Barbro and Annika. After graduating from the Stockholm’s School of Economics, she moved to New York, where she met her loving husband of 42 years, Alfred G. Bisset.

Earning her CPA, together they founded A.G. Bisset & Company and raised five children in Darien. An active woman and avid health nut, she enjoyed skiing in the winter and hiking the Appalachian Trail and sailing in the summer.

Staying fit to the end, she practiced yoga and pilates with friends at the senior center. A true Swede at heart with an incredible sense of humor, she taught her children the Swedish language, culture and traditions, instilling a viking spirit in all.
