Here’s what’s open, closed or has different hours on the last day of 2018 and the first day of 2019:

Monday, Dec 31, 2018 — New Year’s Eve
OPEN

Darien town government offices will be close early at 3 p.m.

Connecticut state offices will be open as usual. Darien Library is open, but closes early at 5 p.m.

Darien YMCA is open from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Click here for holiday schedules for group fitness and pool times.)

CLOSED

Darien schools won’t reopen until Wednesday, Dec. 2. The YWCA of Darien-Norwalk will be closed. GROCERY STORES

Costco — Store open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Pharmacy open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. )

Palmer’s Market — open until 6 p.m.

Stop and Shop — open 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Trader Joe’s — open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Whole Foods Market — open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

PHARMACIES

Costco — Pharmacy open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Store open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.)

CVS — The pharmacy will be open 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. The store  will be open.
