Santa Comes to Grove Street Plaza at ‘Holiday Magic’ Event

On Saturday, Dec. 1, Santa will come down the chimney for another pre-Christmas visit with children for this year’s Holiday Magic event at Grove Street Plaza. Families can be entertained while waiting for his arrival with Rides on the Giant Animals — Lucy the Polar Bear and Rudy the Reindeer. Carolers from Darien High School will entertain all and there will be hot cocoa. — an announcement from the Darien Chamber of Commerce

Rides on the animals begin at 4 p.m., carolers start at 4:15, Santa arrives at about 4:45 p.m. depending on the wind currents in the air.

Santa will ride in on a fire truck at the 40th annual Tree Lighting at the Darien Sport Shop parking lot on Sunday, Nov. 25. The event begins at 4:30 p.m., with a performance from the Darien High School Tudor Singers.
