Raphael’s Bakery Is Now Serving French Baked Goods at Its New Location in Noroton Heights

Raphaël’s Bakery of Greenwich is expanding into Darien with the opening of its second location, the shop recently announced. Darien customers can now visit the family-run bakery in Heights Crossing, 370 Heights Road, to taste a blend of French tradition, local charm and artisanal craftsmanship. Raphaël Dequeker, originally from the Brittany region of France, is a third-generation pâtissier/boulanger whose earliest memories are of cutting strawberries in his parents’ pastry shop. At just 16, he began an apprenticeship under a maître chocolatier in Paris. Raphaël went on to train alongside culinary legends such as Alain Ducasse and Pierre Hermé, and worked in some of France’s most celebrated kitchens, including Le Louis XV in Monaco and Ladurée in Paris.
